He Cypress tree (Cupressus sempervirens), aka Mediterranean Cypress, Tuscan Cypress or Pencil Pine, is a coniferous evergeen tree in the Cypress family (Cupressaceae), native to the eastern Mediterranean (Italy, Libya, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel).

It grows to 35 meters (115ft) tall, with a conic crown with level branches and variably loosely hanging branchlets. It is very long-lived, with some trees reported to be over 1,000 years old.

The foliage grows in dense sprays, dark green in colour. The leaves are scale-like, 2 – 5 mm (0.7-0.2in) long, and produced on rounded (not flattened) shoots. The seed cones are ovoid or oblong, 25 – 40 mm (1-1.5in) long, with 10-14 scales, green at first, maturing brown about 20–24 months after pollination. The male cones are 3–5 mm (0.1-0,2in) long, and release pollen in late winter.

Bio-active ingredients include essential oils (), tanning agents, catechol, flavanoids, glycine acid, glucolic acid. Cypress nuts are rich in vitamin P; they have traditionally been used for treatment of hemorrhoids, varicose veins, pelvic complaints and menstruation problems. Kids and older persons suffering from bed wetting also benefit from using Cypress nuts.

Take 3-6 capsules daily, with plenty of water.
